High Holidays @ BJC

ROsh Hashana

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, is a time of reflection, renewal, and spiritual growth.

Join us at the Bronx Jewish Center to hear the sounding of the shofar, share festive meals, and meaningful services as we pray for a sweet new year ahead.

Yom Kippur

Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is the holiest day on the Jewish calendar. On this day we are closest to G‑d and to the quintessence of our soul. It is a time for reflection, fasting, prayer, and seeking forgiveness.

We invite you to participate in the meaningful services and Yizkor this year at the BJC.

Sukkos

Sukkot is a weeklong Jewish festival that celebrates the fall harvest and commemorates the divine protection G‑d gave the Israelites during their journey through the desert after leaving Egypt. The holiday is observed by dwelling in a sukkah—a temporary, foliage-covered hut—and by performing the mitzvah of the Four Species (arba minim), a special set of four plants.
